Delicious and fun Air Fryer Apple Fries, a healthier snack that is sweet and crunchy, perfect for kids and adults.
Ingredients
- 2 large apples (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Nonstick cooking spray
Instructions
- Peel (optional) and cut the apples into fry-like sticks. Pat dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
- Set up coating stations: Bowl 1 with flour, Bowl 2 with whisked egg and milk, Bowl 3 with panko breadcrumbs, sugar, and cinnamon.
- Dredge each apple stick in the flour, dip into the egg mixture, then coat well with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Lightly spray the coated apple fries with nonstick spray. Place in the air fryer basket in a single layer (work in batches if needed).
- Air fry at 380°F (190°C) for 7–9 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- Serve warm with caramel dip, yogurt, or whipped cream.
Notes
Best served warm. Pair with caramel sauce, yogurt, or whipped cream. Adds a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar for extra sweetness.
