Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: squeeze of lemon, pinch of cayenne, or Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
  2. Pound to even thickness using a mallet or rolling pin.
  3. Lightly coat with olive oil.
  4. Mix garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Rub generously on both sides.
  5. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 2–3 minutes.
  6. Place chicken breasts in air fryer basket without overlapping.
  7. Cook at 375°F for 15–18 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  8. Use a meat thermometer to ensure internal temp reaches 165°F.
  9. Let rest for 3–5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For extra juiciness, marinate or brine the chicken for 15–30 minutes before cooking. Don’t overcrowd the basket – airflow is key.
