Ingredients
- 2 slices of thick bread (sourdough or sandwich bread)
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, etc.)
- 1 tablespoon butter (optional)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: fresh parsley or chives
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly butter one side of each slice of bread and press a well into the center.
- Crack one egg into each slice of bread.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese around the edges or over the egg whites.
- Air fry for 6–8 minutes, until the egg whites are set and the cheese is melted.
- Season with salt, pepper, and herbs. Serve hot.

Use thick bread for better structure and texture. Experiment with different types of cheese for varied flavors. Add ingredients like cooked bacon or diced vegetables for a fun twist.
