Ingredients

  • 1 lb medium-to-large shrimp, peeled and deveined (fresh or frozen)
  • 1-2 tablespoons olive oil or avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika or Cajun seasoning (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Lemon wedges for serving
  • Fresh parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400°F for 2–3 minutes.
  2. If using frozen shrimp, you may cook directly from frozen or thaw if preferred.
  3. Toss shrimp with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika or Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Arrange shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  5. Air fry for 6–8 minutes for fresh shrimp, or 10–12 minutes for frozen, shaking the basket halfway through.
  6. Check doneness — shrimp should be pink, opaque, and lightly curled.
  7. Remove from air fryer and serve immediately with lemon wedges and fresh parsley.

Notes

Avoid overcrowding the basket for even cooking. For extra flavor, toss shrimp in melted butter and fresh garlic right after cooking.
