Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar (for sprinkling)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (for sprinkling)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 1 tablespoon milk (for glaze)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and milk.
- Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until everything is combined.
- Fold in the chopped apples.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon for the topping.
- Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture over the batter.
- Add the remaining batter on top and sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon sugar.
- Use a knife or skewer to swirl the batter, creating a marbled effect.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- While cooling, mix the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for the glaze.
- Drizzle the glaze over the cooled bread.
- Slice and enjoy!
