Healthy and delicious Banana Oatmeal Bars packed with fiber and nutrients, perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.
Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup (optional)
- 1/4 cup nut butter (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips or nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
- Stir in the rolled oats, cinnamon, honey or maple syrup, nut butter, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Optionally, fold in chocolate chips or nuts for added flavor.
- Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish and press down firmly.
- Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
Notes
Store in an airtight container for 4-5 days or freeze for up to three months. Use very ripe bananas for better sweetness.
