Description
Tender and flavorful pulled pork cooked slowly in rich barbecue sauce, perfect for sandwiches or serving over rice.
Ingredients
- 3 pounds pork shoulder
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Buns or rice for serving
Instructions
- Place the pork shoulder in the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, mix together the barbecue sauce, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, paprika, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the pork.
- Cover and cook on low for 480-600 minutes or on high for 240-300 minutes until the pork is tender.
- Shred the pork with two forks and mix it with the sauce.
- Serve on buns or over rice.
Notes
For added flavor, serve with coleslaw or pickles on the side and drizzle extra barbecue sauce on top.
