Description

Tender and flavorful pulled pork cooked slowly in rich barbecue sauce, perfect for sandwiches or serving over rice.


Ingredients

  • 3 pounds pork shoulder
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Buns or rice for serving


Instructions

  1. Place the pork shoulder in the slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the barbecue sauce, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, paprika, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the pork.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 480-600 minutes or on high for 240-300 minutes until the pork is tender.
  5. Shred the pork with two forks and mix it with the sauce.
  6. Serve on buns or over rice.

Notes

For added flavor, serve with coleslaw or pickles on the side and drizzle extra barbecue sauce on top.
