Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken breast, diced
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup bourbon
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, minced
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, brown sugar, bourbon, garlic, and ginger.
- In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Add diced chicken to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken and bring to a simmer.
- Cook for 15-20 minutes, until chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
- Serve over rice and garnish with green onions.
Notes
For extra flavor, let the chicken marinate in the sauce for 30 minutes before cooking. Adjust the amount of brown sugar based on desired sweetness.
