Layers of buttery crust, creamy cheesecake, spiced apples, and golden caramel make these Caramel Apple Cheesecake Bars the perfect fall dessert.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup melted butter
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- 16 oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tbsp sour cream or Greek yogurt (optional)
- 2 cups diced Granny Smith or Honeycrisp apples
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- ⅛ tsp nutmeg
- 1 tbsp flour
- ¾ cup oats
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup melted butter
- Caramel sauce for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking pan with parchment paper.
- Mix flour, brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, and salt. Press into pan to form crust and bake for 10 minutes.
- Beat cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and eggs until smooth. Add sour cream if using. Pour over warm crust.
- Toss diced apples with cinnamon, nutmeg, and flour. Spread evenly over cheesecake layer.
- Combine oats, brown sugar, and melted butter. Sprinkle over apples as streusel topping.
- Bake 30–35 minutes or until set and golden on top. Cool completely.
- Drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.
Notes
Store refrigerated up to 3 days or freeze (without caramel) for up to 2 months. Drizzle caramel before serving for best texture.
