Description

A classic treat combining the sweetness of caramel with crunch from almonds and popcorn, perfect for parties and movie nights.


Ingredients

  • 6 cups popped corn
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup almonds
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • Salt to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, corn syrup, and butter. Stir until it comes to a boil.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and baking soda.
  4. Pour the caramel mixture over the popped corn and almonds, stirring to coat evenly.
  5. Spread the mixture on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven, allow to cool, break into pieces, and enjoy!
