Description

Cheesy Halloween Breadstick Bones are spooky, golden, and shaped like bones, making them the perfect Halloween party snack. Crispy outside, soft and cheesy inside, they’re guaranteed to disappear fast!


Ingredients

  • 1 tube refrigerated pizza dough (or homemade dough)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter or olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (optional)
  • Salt to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out dough on a lightly floured surface and cut into strips about 6–8 inches long.
  3. Make small slits at both ends of each strip and gently knot or roll outward to form bone shapes.
  4. Place shaped dough on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
  5. Brush with melted butter or olive oil, then sprinkle with garlic powder, herbs, and Parmesan.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes, until light golden brown.
  7. In the last few minutes of baking, sprinkle mozzarella on top and return to the oven until melted.
  8. Serve warm with marinara or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For extra spooky fun, serve with marinara sauce as a ‘bloody’ dip. To keep bones soft, cover lightly with foil if not serving right away.
