Ingredients
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1 cup diced ham
- 1 package of puff pastry or phyllo dough
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry or phyllo dough and cut it into rectangles.
- In a bowl, mix the shredded cheese and diced ham. Season with salt, pepper, and any optional herbs/spices.
- Place a spoonful of the ham and cheese mixture on one end of each rectangle.
- Fold the pastry over to create a pocket and seal the edges with a fork.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
