Description

A delightful mix of buttery croissants and rich chocolate for a decadent breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

  • 6 croissants, torn into pieces
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Powdered sugar for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Spread the torn croissant pieces evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the croissants, ensuring all pieces are soaked.
  5. Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the top.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the custard is set and the top is golden.
  7. Let it cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar and serving.

Notes

Use day-old croissants for better absorption of the custard mixture. Experiment with different chocolate chips or add nuts and dried fruits for extra flavor.
