Description
A festive, juicy turkey breast coated in a glossy cranberry-orange glaze that’s sweet, tangy, and savory perfect for small gatherings or holiday dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 bone-in turkey breast (2–5 lb)
- 1 cup fresh cranberries (or frozen)
- 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
- 1 tbsp orange zest
- 1/4 cup honey or brown sugar
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh rosemary and orange slices for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, combine cranberries, orange juice, zest, honey, Dijon mustard, garlic, and a pinch of salt.
- Simmer for 10 minutes until cranberries burst and glaze thickens slightly. Stir often.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or acidity if needed. Let cool slightly.
- Pat turkey breast dry with paper towels. Rub with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Place on a roasting rack in a pan and brush with glaze.
- Roast uncovered for 20 minutes per pound, basting with glaze every 30 minutes.
- When internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C), remove and tent loosely with foil for 10–15 minutes.
- Slice and serve with remaining glaze drizzled on top.
- Garnish with fresh orange slices, cranberries, and rosemary sprigs.
Notes
You can prepare the glaze up to 3 days ahead and store it refrigerated. Baste regularly for the juiciest results. Perfect with mashed potatoes, roasted Brussels sprouts, or herbed stuffing.
