Description
A comforting slow-cooked chicken dish made creamy with ranch seasoning, cream cheese, and soup the perfect cozy family meal.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts in the bottom of the crock pot.
- Sprinkle ranch seasoning evenly over the chicken.
- Pour in the cream of chicken soup and chicken broth.
- Cut cream cheese into chunks and place on top.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3–4 hours.
- When done, shred the chicken and stir until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
- If sauce is too thick, add a splash of broth or milk; if too thin, cook uncovered for 10–15 minutes.
- Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or buttered noodles.
Notes
For a lighter version, use reduced-fat cream cheese and low-sodium soup. Add cooked bacon bits or shredded cheddar for extra flavor.
