Description

A flavorful crockpot dish featuring tender beef and fresh broccoli in a delicious sauce, perfect for busy days.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef (flank steak or sirloin, sliced thin)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon ginger (grated)
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional for thickening)
  • Cooked rice (for serving)


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger.
  2. Place sliced beef in the bottom of the crockpot and pour the sauce over it.
  3. Cook on low for 360-480 minutes (6-8 hours) or high for 180-240 minutes (3-4 hours).
  4. About 30 minutes before serving, add the broccoli florets to the crockpot.
  5. If desired, mix cornstarch with a little water and stir into the sauce to thicken it.
  6. Serve over cooked rice.

Notes

For added flavor, marinate the beef in some of the sauce for an hour before cooking. You can add other vegetables for extra nutrition.
