Description

Delicious and comforting meatballs infused with the rich taste of French onion soup, perfect for busy days.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 cup French onion soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (such as Swiss or Gruyère)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended.
  2. Form the mixture into meatballs and place them in the crockpot.
  3. Add the sliced onions over the meatballs.
  4. Pour the French onion soup over the meatballs.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 360-480 minutes or on high for 180-240 minutes.
  6. During the last 30 minutes of cooking, add the shredded cheese on top.
  7. Serve with fresh parsley for garnish.

Notes

For a lighter option, use lean ground beef. You can customize the cheese type on top for different flavors.
