A delicious and easy recipe for teriyaki chicken made in a crockpot, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup teriyaki sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked rice or noodles for serving
- Chopped green onions and sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
- In a bowl, mix together the teriyaki sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken in the crockpot.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
- Shred the chicken with two forks and stir it into the sauce in the crockpot.
- Serve over cooked rice or noodles, and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes or sriracha. Chicken thighs can be used for richer flavor. Thicken sauce by mixing with cornstarch before serving.
