Description

A delicious and easy recipe for teriyaki chicken made in a crockpot, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving
  • Chopped green onions and sesame seeds for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the teriyaki sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken in the crockpot.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
  5. Shred the chicken with two forks and stir it into the sauce in the crockpot.
  6. Serve over cooked rice or noodles, and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes or sriracha. Chicken thighs can be used for richer flavor. Thicken sauce by mixing with cornstarch before serving.
