Description

A colorful and easy-to-make dessert that layers cake, fruit, pudding, and whipped cream, perfect for spring celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound cake, cut into cubes
  • 2 cups mixed fresh fruit (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 2 cups whipped cream or whipped topping
  • 1 cup vanilla pudding
  • 1/2 cup sherry or fruit juice (optional)
  • Mint leaves for garnish


Instructions

  1. In a large trifle dish or glass bowl, layer half of the cake cubes at the bottom.
  2. Drizzle with sherry or fruit juice if using.
  3. Add a layer of half of the vanilla pudding followed by half of the whipped cream.
  4. Add a layer of fresh mixed fruit.
  5. Repeat the layers by adding the remaining cake cubes, pudding, whipped cream, and top with the remaining mixed fruit.
  6. Garnish with mint leaves.
  7. Chill for at least 60 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use flavored pudding like banana or coconut. Substitute pound cake with ladyfingers or sponge cake for a different texture.
