Description

Crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, these Fried Mac and Cheese Bites are a perfect snack or party treat.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked macaroni
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, cheddar cheese, cream cheese, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into small balls or bite-sized pieces.
  3. Set up a breading station by placing the breadcrumbs in one bowl and the beaten eggs in another.
  4. Dip each mac and cheese bite in the egg, then roll in the breadcrumbs to coat.
  5. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
  6. Fry the mac and cheese bites in batches until golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Serve warm.

Notes

For added flavor, mix in different types of cheese or add cooked bacon or vegetables.
