When life gets busy, there’s nothing like coming home to the comforting aroma of Garlic Parmesan Crockpot Chicken and Potatoes. Tender chicken, creamy Parmesan sauce, and perfectly seasoned potatoes make it an instant family favorite cozy, flavorful, and effortless.
Ingredients
- 2 lb (about 4 pieces) chicken breasts or thighs
- 1 ½ lb (about 4 cups cubed) Yukon Gold or red potatoes
- 4–5 cloves garlic, minced
- ¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream or cream of chicken soup
- Italian seasoning, paprika, salt & pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Lightly coat the crockpot with non-stick spray or butter.
- Cut potatoes into 1-inch cubes and layer them on the bottom of the crockpot.
- Season potatoes lightly, then place chicken pieces on top.
- In a bowl, mix cream, garlic, Parmesan, melted butter, and seasonings.
- Pour the mixture over the chicken and potatoes, covering evenly. Do not stir.
- Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours, until chicken reaches 165°F and potatoes are tender.
- Optional: Sprinkle extra Parmesan 30 minutes before serving and stir gently for a creamier sauce.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.
Notes
Use freshly grated Parmesan for best flavor and texture. Yukon Gold or baby red potatoes hold their shape best during slow cooking. To thicken the sauce, remove the lid for the last 15 minutes of cooking.
