Description

A budget-friendly and easy version of the classic Philly cheesesteak made with ground beef and gooey provolone cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 8 oz provolone cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil


Instructions

  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced onions and sauté until softened.
  3. Add ground beef, salt, and pepper; cook until browned and fully cooked.
  4. Divide the beef mixture into four portions in the skillet, then place a slice of provolone cheese on each portion and cover until melted.
  5. Toast the hoagie rolls, then fill each roll with the beef and cheese mixture.
