Ingredients
- 6 large buttery croissants, cut into quarters
- 1 cup diced ham
- 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 6 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh chives, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
- Spread the quartered croissants evenly in the greased baking dish.
- Sprinkle the diced ham and shredded Swiss cheese over the croissants.
- Whisk together the eggs, milk, thyme, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl.
- Pour the egg mixture over the layers in the dish, ensuring all pieces are soaked. Press down on the croissants gently with a spatula.
- Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese on top.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown and set in the center.
- Let it cool for about 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh chopped chives before serving.
Notes
Let the casserole sit for a few minutes after baking to set properly. Can be prepared the night before.
