Description

Delicious Honey Glazed Ham with a sweet and tangy orange glaze, perfect for holidays and special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 1 fully cooked bone-in spiral ham (8 lbs)
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup orange marmalade
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp Bayou City Lemon Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp cloves
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a shallow roasting pan, layer the orange slices and pour in the orange juice.
  3. Place the roasting rack in the roasting pan, and then add the ham.
  4. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the brown sugar, honey, orange marmalade, and salt. Stir until just mixed.
  5. Bring the mixture to a slight bubble and let it simmer for about 4 minutes.
  6. Pour half of the glaze over the ham and bake it uncovered for 50 minutes.
  7. After 50 minutes, pour the remaining glaze over the ham and bake for another 20 minutes, or until a thermometer reads 140°F (60°C).
  8. Once done, take the ham out of the oven, tent it with foil, and let it rest for about 15-20 minutes.
  9. Carve the ham and serve it with the leftover glaze on the side.

Notes

Ensure your ham is fully cooked before baking it to save time and guarantee it’s safe to eat. Use fresh orange juice for the best flavor.
