- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 lemon, halved
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1 cup chicken broth or water
- Optional: rosemary, thyme, butter for flavor variations
Instructions
- Remove giblets and pat chicken dry with paper towels.
- Mix paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper; rub all over chicken.
- Stuff cavity with lemon halves and garlic cloves.
- Pour broth into the Instant Pot and place chicken on the trivet, breast-side up.
- Close lid, set to High Pressure: 6 minutes per pound (e.g., 24 minutes for 4 lbs).
- Let pressure release naturally for 15 minutes before opening.
- Optional: For crispy skin, transfer chicken to a baking sheet and broil 5–7 minutes.
- Let rest 5–10 minutes before carving.
Notes
Use natural pressure release for best texture. Ensure internal temp reaches 165°F in the thickest part. Store leftovers for 4 days or freeze for 3 months.
