Description

A delicious and comforting dish with a crispy coating, cheesy topping, and juicy chicken, perfect for family dinners or special occasions.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts, boneless skinless
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In one dish, mix the breadcrumbs, half of the Parmesan cheese, and the seasonings.
  3. In another dish, beat together the eggs and milk.
  4. Place the flour in a third dish.
  5. Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, then dip it in the egg mixture, and finally coat it with the breadcrumb mixture.
  6. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the chicken for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they are golden brown.
  7. Transfer the browned chicken to a baking dish.
  8. In a small bowl, mix the remaining Parmesan cheese with the mozzarella and minced garlic.
  9. Top the chicken breasts with the cheese mixture.
  10. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.

Notes

For extra crunch, consider adding crushed corn flakes to the breadcrumb mixture. Adjust cooking time if using chicken thighs.
