Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts, boneless skinless
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In one dish, mix the breadcrumbs, half of the Parmesan cheese, and the seasonings.
- In another dish, beat together the eggs and milk.
- Place the flour in a third dish.
- Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, then dip it in the egg mixture, and finally coat it with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the chicken for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they are golden brown.
- Transfer the browned chicken to a baking dish.
- In a small bowl, mix the remaining Parmesan cheese with the mozzarella and minced garlic.
- Top the chicken breasts with the cheese mixture.
- Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
Notes
For extra crunch, consider adding crushed corn flakes to the breadcrumb mixture. Adjust cooking time if using chicken thighs.
