Description

This filling and cheesy casserole combines classic cheeseburger flavors in a low-carb, keto-friendly dish.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 pound cooked bacon, chopped
  • 8 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 (12 oz) package shredded Cheddar cheese


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the ground beef, minced garlic, and onion powder over medium-high heat until browned, about 5–7 minutes.
  3. Drain the grease and transfer the mixture to a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
  4. Stir in the cooked bacon and spread the mixture evenly in the dish.
  5. Whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, pepper, and 3/4 of the shredded cheese in a bowl.
  6. Pour this egg mixture over the meat mixture in the casserole dish.
  7. Top with the remaining cheese and bake for 30–35 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  8. Let it rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.

Notes

Experiment with different cheeses and add veggies for extra flavor. This casserole can be frozen prior to baking.
