Description
This filling and cheesy casserole combines classic cheeseburger flavors in a low-carb, keto-friendly dish.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 pound cooked bacon, chopped
- 8 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 (12 oz) package shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the ground beef, minced garlic, and onion powder over medium-high heat until browned, about 5–7 minutes.
- Drain the grease and transfer the mixture to a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
- Stir in the cooked bacon and spread the mixture evenly in the dish.
- Whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, pepper, and 3/4 of the shredded cheese in a bowl.
- Pour this egg mixture over the meat mixture in the casserole dish.
- Top with the remaining cheese and bake for 30–35 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Let it rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
Notes
Experiment with different cheeses and add veggies for extra flavor. This casserole can be frozen prior to baking.
