Description

A quick and easy one-pan meal with chicken sausage, orzo, and broccoli, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces orzo pasta
  • 2 chicken sausages, sliced
  • 2 cups steamed broccoli
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced chicken sausage and cook until browned.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Add the orzo and stir well to coat in the oil.
  5. Pour in enough water or broth to cover the orzo and bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer until the orzo is tender, about 10-12 minutes.
  7. Stir in the steamed broccoli and parmesan cheese.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and serve warm.

Notes

Use any flavor of chicken sausage to customize the dish. You can also add other vegetables for more variety.
