A quick and easy one-pan meal with chicken sausage, orzo, and broccoli, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces orzo pasta
- 2 chicken sausages, sliced
- 2 cups steamed broccoli
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the sliced chicken sausage and cook until browned.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Add the orzo and stir well to coat in the oil.
- Pour in enough water or broth to cover the orzo and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer until the orzo is tender, about 10-12 minutes.
- Stir in the steamed broccoli and parmesan cheese.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, and serve warm.
Notes
Use any flavor of chicken sausage to customize the dish. You can also add other vegetables for more variety.
