Description

Delicious chicken wings marinated in sweet pineapple juice and spicy jalapeños, perfect for gatherings or family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs chicken wings
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 jalapeños, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for greasing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Place them in a large mixing bowl.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine pineapple juice, brown sugar, chopped jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, soy sauce, and black pepper. Whisk until well mixed.
  4. Pour the marinade over chicken wings, toss to coat, cover, and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.
  5. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. Grease the rack with olive oil.
  6. Remove wings from marinade, drip off excess, and place them on the wire rack in a single layer.
  7. Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and crispy, brushing with reserved marinade halfway through.
  8. If desired, broil for the last 3-5 minutes for extra crispiness.
  9. Let wings rest for a few minutes before serving, garnished with additional chopped jalapeños if desired.

Notes

For the best texture, pat the wings dry before marinating. Marinate for a full 2 hours for extra flavor.
