Description
Delicious chicken wings marinated in sweet pineapple juice and spicy jalapeños, perfect for gatherings or family dinners.
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs chicken wings
- 1/2 cup pineapple juice
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 jalapeños, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for greasing)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Place them in a large mixing bowl.
- In a separate bowl, combine pineapple juice, brown sugar, chopped jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, soy sauce, and black pepper. Whisk until well mixed.
- Pour the marinade over chicken wings, toss to coat, cover, and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. Grease the rack with olive oil.
- Remove wings from marinade, drip off excess, and place them on the wire rack in a single layer.
- Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and crispy, brushing with reserved marinade halfway through.
- If desired, broil for the last 3-5 minutes for extra crispiness.
- Let wings rest for a few minutes before serving, garnished with additional chopped jalapeños if desired.
Notes
For the best texture, pat the wings dry before marinating. Marinate for a full 2 hours for extra flavor.
