Craving something cozy and a little different from your usual coffee? This pistachio latte blends rich espresso with creamy pistachio flavor for a homemade café treat that’s nutty, slightly sweet, and oh-so-satisfying.
Ingredients
- 1 shot of espresso or ½ cup strong brewed coffee
- 1 cup pistachio milk (or mix of oat milk + pistachio butter)
- 1–2 tsp pistachio butter (for a richer flavor)
- 1–2 tsp maple syrup or honey (adjust to taste)
- ¼ tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- Pinch of sea salt (optional)
Instructions
- Brew the espresso or strong coffee and set aside.
- In a small saucepan, combine the pistachio milk and pistachio butter over medium heat. Stir until the butter melts completely.
- Add sweetener, vanilla extract, and sea salt (if using). Heat until warm, not boiling.
- Froth the milk mixture using a hand frother, blender, or whisk.
- Pour the espresso into a mug, then top it with the hot pistachio milk. Spoon froth on top.
- Garnish with crushed pistachios or a dusting of cinnamon if desired.
Notes
Try blending in cardamom or rosewater for a floral twist. Using pistachio butter boosts the creamy texture and gives you full control over flavor and sweetness.
