- 1 to 1.5 tablespoons pistachio cream or butter
- 3/4 cup milk or plant milk (oat milk preferred)
- 1–2 teaspoons maple syrup or honey (optional)
- Ice (for iced version)
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk matcha powder with hot water using a bamboo whisk or frother until smooth and frothy.
- Gently heat milk in a small saucepan (skip this for iced version).
- In a mug or glass, combine pistachio cream with milk and stir until smooth.
- Pour whisked matcha over the pistachio milk mixture. Sweeten if desired.
- Serve hot or over ice. Garnish with matcha powder or crushed pistachios if desired.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use homemade pistachio cream. Oat milk enhances the nutty profile perfectly. Try it with a cookie or macaron on the side.
