Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 cups pretzels, crushed
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 1/2 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking oil for frying
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Set up a breading station: place flour in one dish, beaten eggs in another, and crushed pretzels in a third.
- Dip each chicken breast first in flour, then in the eggs, and finally coat with pretzels.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the coated chicken and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Transfer the chicken to a baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
- For the sauce, melt the cheddar cheese in a saucepan over low heat, then whisk in the Dijon mustard and milk until smooth.
- Serve the pretzel chicken drizzled with mustard-cheddar sauce.
