A delightful and fun treat combining the classic flavors of strawberry shortcake with the fun texture of puppy chow.
Ingredients
- 4 cups Rice Chex cereal
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup strawberry cake mix
- 1 cup freeze-dried strawberries
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the Rice Chex cereal and freeze-dried strawberries.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips and butter together in increments of 30 seconds, stirring after each until smooth.
- Pour the melted chocolate over the cereal mixture and gently stir to coat.
- In a separate bag or bowl, combine the powdered sugar and strawberry cake mix.
- Add the coated cereal to the bag or bowl and shake until evenly coated.
- Spread the mixture out on parchment paper to cool, then add sprinkles if desired.

Notes
Make sure your white chocolate is fully melted for a smooth coating. For extra flavor, add a splash of vanilla extract when melting the chocolate.
