Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup butter, softened
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 4–5 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled and sliced
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- 2 tbsp sugar
- ½ cup salted caramel sauce
- Flaky sea salt, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper.
- Mix flour, butter, and brown sugar until crumbly. Press half into the prepared pan for the crust.
- Toss sliced apples with cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar. Spread evenly over the crust.
- Crumble the remaining crust mixture over the apples.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly.
- Warm caramel sauce and drizzle evenly over the bars. Sprinkle with sea salt.
- Cool for 20 minutes before slicing into squares.
Notes
