Ingredients
- Juicy sausage links
- Soft bread (such as sandwich bread or Texas toast)
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- Maple syrup (for serving)
Instructions
- Cook the sausage links according to package instructions.
- Flatten the slices of bread with a rolling pin.
- Whisk together the eggs, milk, cinnamon, and sugar in a bowl to create the egg mixture.
- Dip each slice of flattened bread into the egg mixture, ensuring it is well-coated.
- Place a cooked sausage link at one end of the bread slice and roll it up tightly.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a little butter.
- Cook the roll-ups seam-side down until golden brown on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove from the skillet and serve warm with maple syrup for dipping.
Notes
For a crunchier texture, sprinkle some crushed cereal on the outside before cooking. Use fresh bread for the best texture.
