Description

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 8 slices of bread, toasted
  • 2 cups brown gravy


Instructions

  1. In a slow cooker, add the beef chuck roast, onion, garlic, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  2. Cook on low for 480 minutes (8 hours) or high for 240 minutes (4 hours), until the beef is tender.
  3. In the last hour of cooking, add the diced potatoes to the slow cooker.
  4. Once cooked, shred the beef and mix it back into the broth.
  5. Serve the shredded beef and broth over toasted bread and mashed potatoes, topped with brown gravy.

Notes
