Ingredients
- 1 pound beef (chuck roast or brisket)
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon ginger (grated)
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 green onions (sliced for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
- Cooked rice (for serving)
Instructions
- Cut the beef into chunks and place it in the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, brown sugar, beef broth, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and black pepper.
- Pour the sauce over the beef in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the beef is tender.
- Once done, shred the beef with two forks.
- Serve the Korean beef over cooked rice and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
Choose well-marbled beef for a more tender result. Adjust brown sugar to your taste. Add red pepper flakes for spice if desired.
