Description

A flavorful slow cooker dish featuring tender beef in a sweet and savory Korean sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs beef chuck roast
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Sesame seeds for garnish


Instructions

  1. Combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, beef broth, and rice vinegar in a slow cooker.
  2. Place the beef chuck roast into the mixture, ensuring it’s covered.
  3. Cook on low for 480 minutes or until the meat is tender.
  4. Shred the beef with two forks and stir it back into the sauce.
  5. Serve hot over rice, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

For extra flavor, sear the beef before adding to the slow cooker. Add red pepper flakes for spice if desired.
