Description
A classic Southern comfort dish made with tender chicken, creamy sauce, spaghetti, and layers of melted cheese perfect for family dinners or potlucks.
Ingredients
- 3 cups cooked shredded chicken (rotisserie works great)
- 12 oz spaghetti noodles
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken or cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, Velveeta, or blend)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Optional: diced bell peppers, celery, or broccoli florets
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook spaghetti until al dente, then drain.
- Shred chicken if not already prepared.
- In a large bowl, combine soup, diced tomatoes with chilies, chicken broth, 1 cup shredded cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper.
- Toss cooked spaghetti with the sauce until coated.
- Grease a casserole dish and spread half the pasta mixture in it.
- Sprinkle with cheese, then add the remaining pasta mixture.
- Top with the rest of the cheese.
- Bake 30–35 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let rest 5–10 minutes before serving.
Notes
You can prepare ahead by refrigerating up to 24 hours before baking or freeze for up to 3 months. Try adding jalapeños or swapping cheese blends for flavor twists.
