Description

A classic Southern comfort dish made with tender chicken, creamy sauce, spaghetti, and layers of melted cheese perfect for family dinners or potlucks.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked shredded chicken (rotisserie works great)
  • 12 oz spaghetti noodles
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken or cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, Velveeta, or blend)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Optional: diced bell peppers, celery, or broccoli florets


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook spaghetti until al dente, then drain.
  3. Shred chicken if not already prepared.
  4. In a large bowl, combine soup, diced tomatoes with chilies, chicken broth, 1 cup shredded cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper.
  5. Toss cooked spaghetti with the sauce until coated.
  6. Grease a casserole dish and spread half the pasta mixture in it.
  7. Sprinkle with cheese, then add the remaining pasta mixture.
  8. Top with the rest of the cheese.
  9. Bake 30–35 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  10. Let rest 5–10 minutes before serving.

Notes

You can prepare ahead by refrigerating up to 24 hours before baking or freeze for up to 3 months. Try adding jalapeños or swapping cheese blends for flavor twists.
