Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup cinnamon sugar (for topping)


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, mix the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until combined.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined; it’s okay if there are a few lumps.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it.
  5. Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake.
  6. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set, then flip and cook until golden brown.
  7. Remove from skillet and immediately sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
  8. Repeat with the remaining batter and serve warm.

Notes

Serve with extra cinnamon sugar, chocolate sauce, fresh fruit, whipped cream, or maple syrup for added flavor.
