Description
A festive Halloween pizza topped with mozzarella ghosts, perfect for kids’ parties or a fun seasonal family dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
- 1 cup tomato sauce (or garlic white sauce, or pesto)
- 8–10 mozzarella slices (cut into ghost shapes)
- Black olives (for ghost eyes)
- 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers
- 1/2 cup mushrooms, thinly sliced
- Fresh basil leaves
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Roll out pizza dough on a floured surface and place on a baking sheet or pizza stone.
- Spread sauce evenly, leaving 1 inch at the edges for the crust.
- Cut mozzarella into ghost shapes and place on pizza.
- Add black olive slices as ghost eyes and arrange light toppings (peppers, mushrooms, basil).
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese ghosts are melted but visible.
- For sharper ghost shapes, add cheese in the last 5 minutes of baking or freeze shapes for 10 minutes before use.
- Remove from oven, let rest for 5 minutes, then slice and serve.
Notes
For vegan or gluten-free options, use plant-based cheese and crust. Keep toppings light so the ghost shapes remain visible.
