Description

A festive Halloween pizza topped with mozzarella ghosts, perfect for kids’ parties or a fun seasonal family dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 cup tomato sauce (or garlic white sauce, or pesto)
  • 810 mozzarella slices (cut into ghost shapes)
  • Black olives (for ghost eyes)
  • 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 1/2 cup mushrooms, thinly sliced
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C).
  2. Roll out pizza dough on a floured surface and place on a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  3. Spread sauce evenly, leaving 1 inch at the edges for the crust.
  4. Cut mozzarella into ghost shapes and place on pizza.
  5. Add black olive slices as ghost eyes and arrange light toppings (peppers, mushrooms, basil).
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese ghosts are melted but visible.
  7. For sharper ghost shapes, add cheese in the last 5 minutes of baking or freeze shapes for 10 minutes before use.
  8. Remove from oven, let rest for 5 minutes, then slice and serve.

Notes

For vegan or gluten-free options, use plant-based cheese and crust. Keep toppings light so the ghost shapes remain visible.
