Ingredients
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup crushed Jolly Ranchers
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture until combined.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick.
- Cut into shapes using cookie cutters and cut out center shapes for the stained glass effect.
- Place the cut cookies on a baking sheet and fill the cut-out centers with crushed Jolly Ranchers.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
