Description

A fun and hearty dish combining ground beef, creamy soup, and crispy tater tots topped with gooey cheese, perfect for busy weeknights or family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups frozen tater tots
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the meat is cooked through. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Spread the ground beef mixture evenly in a greased baking dish.
  4. Spread the cream of mushroom soup over the meat.
  5. Layer the tater tots on top of the soup.
  6. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown.
  8. Sprinkle the cheddar cheese over the top and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
  9. Serve hot.

Notes

Best enjoyed hot from the oven. Pairs well with salad and garlic bread.
