A fun and hearty dish combining ground beef, creamy soup, and crispy tater tots topped with gooey cheese, perfect for busy weeknights or family gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups frozen tater tots
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the meat is cooked through. Drain any excess fat.
- Spread the ground beef mixture evenly in a greased baking dish.
- Spread the cream of mushroom soup over the meat.
- Layer the tater tots on top of the soup.
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown.
- Sprinkle the cheddar cheese over the top and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
- Serve hot.
Notes
Best enjoyed hot from the oven. Pairs well with salad and garlic bread.
