A simple and delicious slow cooker dish that combines juicy beef and fresh broccoli in a tasty sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef (flank steak or sirloin), sliced thin
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. In a slow cooker, combine beef, broccoli, soy sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, minced garlic, and sesame oil. Stir to combine.
  2. Cover and cook on low for 360 minutes (6 hours) or high for 240 minutes (4 hours) until the beef is tender.
  3. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Stir into the slow cooker and cook for an additional 30 minutes on high until the sauce thickens.
  4. Serve the beef and broccoli over cooked rice.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the beef in soy sauce and garlic for a couple of hours before cooking. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or frozen for up to 3 months.
