A simple and delicious slow cooker dish that combines juicy beef and fresh broccoli in a tasty sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef (flank steak or sirloin), sliced thin
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Cooked rice for serving
Instructions
- In a slow cooker, combine beef, broccoli, soy sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, minced garlic, and sesame oil. Stir to combine.
- Cover and cook on low for 360 minutes (6 hours) or high for 240 minutes (4 hours) until the beef is tender.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Stir into the slow cooker and cook for an additional 30 minutes on high until the sauce thickens.
- Serve the beef and broccoli over cooked rice.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the beef in soy sauce and garlic for a couple of hours before cooking. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or frozen for up to 3 months.
