A simple and delicious crock pot recipe for tender beef flank steak and vibrant broccoli, perfect for busy nights.
Ingredients
- 1.5 pounds beef flank steak, sliced thin
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon minced ginger
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked rice for serving
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and pepper.
- Place the sliced beef in the crock pot and pour the sauce over it.
- Cook on low for 4-5 hours or on high for 2-3 hours until the beef is tender.
- About 30 minutes before serving, add the broccoli florets.
- Mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry and stir it into the crock pot to thicken the sauce.
- Serve over cooked rice.
Notes
For variations, you can add bell peppers or snap peas. Serve with sesame seeds or green onions for extra flavor.
