Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Oil for frying
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Use a spoon to drop dough into hot oil, frying until golden brown on each side.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
Best served warm with a dusting of powdered sugar. Pair with coffee or chocolate sauce.
