Description

Fluffy and sweet pastries that are perfect for breakfast or dessert, dusted with powdered sugar.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
  3. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  4. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Use a spoon to drop dough into hot oil, frying until golden brown on each side.
  6. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Best served warm with a dusting of powdered sugar. Pair with coffee or chocolate sauce.
