Delightful nut bars combining sweetness and saltiness, packed with nutrients for a quick energy boost.
Ingredients
- 1 cup mixed nuts (such as almonds, cashews, and walnuts)
- 1 cup dates, pitted
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 cup nut butter (such as almond or peanut butter)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- Combine the mixed nuts and dates in a food processor, and pulse until finely chopped and well mixed.
- Add the dark chocolate chips, nut butter, vanilla extract, and sea salt to the mixture and pulse until combined.
- Press the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until slightly firm.
- Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into bars.
Notes
Store the bars in an airtight container at room temperature for about a week, or in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. They can also be frozen for up to three months.
