Description

Delightful nut bars combining sweetness and saltiness, packed with nutrients for a quick energy boost.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup mixed nuts (such as almonds, cashews, and walnuts)
  • 1 cup dates, pitted
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 cup nut butter (such as almond or peanut butter)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the mixed nuts and dates in a food processor, and pulse until finely chopped and well mixed.
  3. Add the dark chocolate chips, nut butter, vanilla extract, and sea salt to the mixture and pulse until combined.
  4. Press the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until slightly firm.
  6. Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into bars.

Notes

Store the bars in an airtight container at room temperature for about a week, or in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. They can also be frozen for up to three months.
